A Sudsy Tale: Ally’s Journey from Dryness to Hydration with Natural Soap

Hey there! My name is Ally, and I’ve got a story to share with you about how I found my way to natural soap.

I have always battled with the dry itchy patches on my hands. I am a nurse and I wash my hands ALOT. My poor hands are always dry, itchy, and irritated, as if they had a personal vendetta against moisture. I tried every moisturizer I could find, hoping for some relief. But no matter how many fancy brands I used, my hands remained stubbornly parched. Frustrated and a little desperate, I stumbled upon the world of natural soaps.

I had never considered that WHAT I was washing my hands with may be part of the problem. It doesn’t seem like such a small thing as soap could really make a difference.

One day I was at a local market and that is where I met Heather with Country Goods USA. She had a booth there and she must have sensed my curiosity because she took the time to talk to me about my struggle with my hands. She explained that her natural soaps were carefully crafted with nourishing ingredients that would be gentle on my skin. They were packed with moisturizing oils like olive oil, coconut oil, and shea butter, which were known to work wonders for dry skin.

I picked up a bar of the lavender-infused soap, eager to give it a whirl. That evening I lathered up my hands with the soap, letting the foam work its magic. The scent was amazing and the soap felt different from the commercial bar I was using. It was creamier and felt richer than I was used to.  My hands felt different right from the first wash. Intrigued by this newfound product, I dove headfirst into researching the secret behind the soap’s nourishing properties. Turns out, oils in the soap all play a part to help nourish the skin. They are packed with antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory powers that all help the skin repair itself. I found out that shea butter forms a protective barrier, locking in much-needed moisture. Together, these ingredients were an unbeatable combination dry skin like mine.

From that moment on, I kissed commercial soaps goodbye and embraced the world of natural, handcrafted soaps. My hands became living proof of their wonders.

But this story isn’t just about healing my skin. It’s about discovering the beauty of natural ingredients and supporting local artisans like Heather. It’s about treating myself with love and kindness every single day, through the simple act of washing my hands.

Now I can’t wait to try the other products that offer protection and nourishment.
